I have a sneaking suspicion I can’t really validate that “dune buggy with roof” has failed to grasp the essential concept.

Dune buddy with roof = winter beater in my books.
Plus, all you need to do is remove the gullwing doors and you have yourself a dune buggy :)

Technically, it doesn’t have any motor.
But yeah, will have to figure out windows.
